This comprehensive compilation of Alberta Casey's music has thirty lovely songs in excellent translations, several by famous Esperanto-speakers such as William Auld. Alberta has a beautiful voice with a strong vibrato and expressively sings many classic love songs that most people will recognize. Her singing style and slight American accent remind me of Judy Garland, especially "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", which is my favorite song on this CD. The guitar and piano accompaniment is played sensitively and with great skill, and the musical arrangements are excellent. Although a number of Alberta Casey's songs are posted on Youtube, this album contains many more that are not, including some of my personal favorites: "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Bring in the Clowns," "San Diego," "Besame Mucho" etc. This vintage disc is a walk through the history of the Esperanto movement in the US, especially in sunny southern California, where Ms. Casey lived most of her life.
