John Wells has been an active Esperantist for many years, is past president of UEA and currently president of the Academy of Esperanto.
The English-Esperanto section contains over 22,000 English words and their meaning in Esperanto. The Esperanto-English section contains over 10,000 Esperanto roots and their meaning in English.
The dictionary is compact, which means (in the words of the author) "It assumes that users have enough knowledge of both languages to work out for themselves most derived and inflected forms of words, given the base forms." The size of the book is 5.5 inches wide, 8.5 inches high, and slightly over an inch thick.
