Each short story (actually, a chapter in a novel) is based (speaking generally) on the work of a particular Esperantist author well-known in recent years; names of the putative authors have been modified, perhaps to protect Johansson from lawsuit, but with every story there's a caricature of the caricatured author captioned with his real name.
